“Her Accurate Private Mind” is a live stream video program created as an online extension of the exhibition’s exploration of private and public space. It will take place simultaneously on Twitch and YouTube, on the 15th of June 2021.

The title of the program comes from a poem by Ann Carson, where the poet speaks of Helen of Troy. Homer, Carson says, does not go into detail about Helen’s physical beauty. However he presents us with a very engaging image of her “accurate private mind”. In the height of the Trojan war we see Helen, alone in her chambers, weaving peacefully, yet carefully,  a  “double folded cloth” depicting the same battles that happen outside. (Elsewhere Carson calls Helen’s tapestry a “livestream”) In the middle of the madness she has inadvertently created, Helen’s weaving is a way not only to respond to the world outside but also to stick to some sort of inner truth  - a double folded truth indeed – both solid and two faced.

The demonstrative visibility of the video streaming will host a search for intimacy and truth, reiterating probably the most asked question in recent months: What to do when we are finally alone, yet guilty of the world’s falling apart?
